About

About Klipdrift Sands

A small lodge in the bush, run by us. Right on the edge of Dinokeng.

Our story

How it started

Klipdrift Sands started out as a family place. Over time we opened it up to guests, but we kept what we loved about it. The quiet, the bush, and the small touches that make it feel personal. We didn't try to turn it into a hotel.

A typical stay

What it's like here

Most people slow down by the second morning. Your unit, your braai, your deck, and a lot of bush in between. We're around if you need anything, but we stay out of your way.

What sets us apart

Real privacy

Units are spaced out so you won't feel like you're sharing a driveway with anyone.

No upsells

The rate is the rate. What's included is included. No surprises at check-out.

Close to Dinokeng

The reserve gates are a short drive away. A morning safari is easy from here.

Properly self-catering

Every unit has what you need to cook, braai and eat well without leaving the property.

Where we are

Right next to Dinokeng.

Being close to the reserve shapes the whole stay. You wake up in the bush, do a morning self-drive, and you're back at the lodge for a quiet afternoon. No long drives in the middle of the day.
